my goal will be 30 min – 1 hour of screen time most of it hopefully just answering texts from my family and work or important emails , my current screen time is 4:30hrs during the week and 5-6hrs on the weekends my overall end goal is to be more productive in my life wish me luck
I think endlessly scrolling isn’t the problem, it’s a symptom of a deeper issue. Understanding why we do it is a good approach. Are you full of negative thoughts? Is it uncomfortable to sit in silence without any external stimulation? Try doing it. Yes, it sucks at first, but with practice, you realize it isn’t that bad and you can control your thoughts and emotions, it’s helped me immensely honestly

Giiirlll my screen time is 10+
I’m gonna spend the next couple of months studying for the GRE, I work fulltime and it seemed like I had no time. Until I realized I wasted 5-6 hours a day on YouTube, Reddit, and other sites. I’m going to try to cut it down to under 1 hour a day. Probably gonna be like going into withdrawal but hopefully I can make it.
I don’t think I could go straight up one hour a day but this is freaken admirable. Mostly what I’ve been attempting is substituting scrolling with other activities like reading, writing, art and obligations and saving anything mindless for end of day.

At my worst, I’m usually at 6 hours. At my best, (which is usually) it’s around an hour or so, and most of that time being used for finishing school work lol.
I’ve never downloaded tiktok, instagram, but I did keep YouTube for essential things like finding videos for study time but I always find myself coming back to scroll mindlessly through my fyp or through shorts. I don’t even like any of the content, it just keeps going. I wish YouTube didn’t have these features. I keep coming back here, does anyone have tips so I can keep YouTube without mindlessly scrolling all the time?
I also did it this way, and can affirm it works wonders to reduce it stepwise like you do.

To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life.
How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

Without a laptop, I used to spend around 9 to 11 hours on my phone every day. After buying a laptop, I uninstalled short video apps like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Now, my screen time has reduced to just 1 to 2 hours, and I feel much happier because I’m focused on learning
its was 7hrs but now it is 2hrs as I replaced Spotify with Walkman and my spare time with reading, will try to reduce it further. Thanks for this video

This is great but you’ll have a much better workout without any videos at all. Focus on your cardio, your breathing, your fatigue, your improvement. None of that will happen if you’re engrossed in a video. When working out you want to focus on what you’re doing to push yourself so it’s not boring. I take it you’re Korean. You come from a great culture that highly respects people pushing themselves to be their very best. This video is an example of that voluntary self improvement. So admirable.
If you are on a machine, other than maybe a treadmill, try working out with your eyes closed. This really focuses your mind on your workout! See that Roman Chair? Try slow, straight leg lifts, then scissor kicks with straight legs parallel to the floor. It will hugely improve your core. You’re slim now so you won’t be building muscle over fat which is ideal.
I wish I could stop wasting hours away on a screen, but I can’t do anything about it. The reason I do it is because I’ve been severly depressed for years, I am constantly so exhausted that I can’t even do the minimum nutrition and hygiene necessary. So how am I supposed to have the energy to spend on hobbies I don’t feel connected to anymore ? Plus I have to relearn all my skills, I lost all of it after 5 years of constant muscles pain and twitches.
The only thing I can do is stare at a screen, because if I don’t have multiple senses occupied, the dark thoughts might take over and it becomes overwhelmingly difficult to not relapse. I was at least able to not doom scroll anymore and instead play video games I like, but I still feel awful about not doing art anymore, even tho all my attempts to change have failed because I still haven’t found a way to get better mentally
